Acre Farm at Framfield is our Therapeutic Specialist Children’s Home for children and young people who have a range of complex SEMH needs.
A family home
We provide a fun, nurturing, family home for the young people in our care.
Acre Farm is a welcoming, four bedroom house set in six acres of land, surrounded by beautiful East Sussex countryside.
Six acres to explore
We are fortunate to have a wonderful outdoor space at Acre Farm.
Framfield has generous outdoor space which provides plenty to do including a swing, football goal, swing ball, paddling pool, vegetable garden, mud kitchen, fire pit, BBQ, space to camp out under the stars and seating and dining areas.
Shared spaces
Acre Farm is a bright and spacious home. Our shared areas have a friendly feel, with a good balance between safety and homeliness.
Our main living room is particularly special, with calming views of the countryside and cosy sofas to relax on. There is a separate, smaller lounge upstairs. We have an activity room which is often used for homework but can be turned into a mini cinema for film nights. Plus there is also a relaxation area to allow young people to have some quiet time.
Cooking and eating together
The kitchen at Acre Farm is furnished with high quality appliances and equipment.
This allows the young people to be involved in preparing meals – an important part of learning independence and life skills. Our dining room is large enough to seat all the young people and our team at mealtimes, enhancing the family-home atmosphere.
A bedroom like no other
At Acre Farm we know the importance of providing young people with their own, personal space.
This gives them privacy when needed and a feeling of security.
We encourage the young people to decorate and furnish their bedroom to suit their own taste and needs. They express their personality with their own belongings, photos and posters.
Framfield village
Located in rural East Sussex, Framfield is a beautiful village.
There is a large park with a recreation ground and basketball court, a pub which has a play area and serves delicious food, a shop and, in neighbouring Buxted, a doctor’s surgery and other services. Plus, we enjoy a regular market and annual fête.
Public transport links are within easy reach. Uckfield is just two miles away and the larger towns of Tunbridge Wells and Crowborough are close by. A range of nearby attractions and seaside towns means that there is never a dull moment.
There are excellent primary schools, secondary schools and colleges in the area.
