Education that enriches and empowers

Schooling and further education are an important part of life at Framfield. The expectation is that all young people will attend full time education. We believe that school is much more than education; it is a time to develop life skills, friendships and socialise with peers.

The young people attend local schools and colleges. We work in collaboration with teachers, holding regular meetings to check on progress and discuss any issues. We also help with homework and ensure that everyone has a quiet area for study, with the appropriate supervision.

When we welcome new young people, our team may assist with home schooling and activities to support them until they start at their new school. We believe young people should only be home schooled for as short a period as feasible, and fully supported by tutors. This joint effort helps us to make the move to a new school as smooth as possible.

Setting goals

Educational achievements form part of each person’s personal goals, helping them, and our team, to focus on achieving their dreams.

We also develop skills for their future lives through life skills learning at home.

During the coronavirus outbreak we were able to continue education from our multi-purpose learning/activity room.
