Rob Barnard
Registered Manager, Framfield
Following a decision to leave teaching and a few years working abroad, Rob joined PJL Healthcare in 2015. Being his first experience of working in care, Rob would freely admit he had no idea what to expect but he has certainly learnt the ropes in a variety of roles at PJL. He initially worked at Mayfield Children’s Home and spent 6 months as a Support Worker, 6 months as a Key Worker, 12 months as the Activities and Independence Co-ordinator and then 24 months as a Team Leader.
Having gained invaluable knowledge and experience, Rob left Mayfield Children’s Home with fond and happy memories and equipped for a new challenge, taking on the role of Deputy Manager (Maternity Cover) at Framfield Children’s Home in 2019. After an eventful and fun packed year, Rob accepted the Deputy Manager job on a permanent basis and continued to enjoy the daily challenges the role provided … so much so he took on the role of Acting Manager in June 2021 and became Registered Manager in January 2023.
When not a work Rob enjoys peace and quiet and time with family and close friends.
When it comes to his favourite type of biscuit Rob says “how could I possible choose one? … anything that goes well with a cup of tea is good for me!”
