We have an excellent staff team across all our services who have a breadth of different skills and experience which are utilised throughout the company.   PJL Training Centre encourages career development by organising specific courses and workshops that enable staff to increase their skills, knowledge and confidence. We are committed to supporting our staff in their continuing professional development and will source relevant training if requested. PJL Healthcare Ltd is recognised for its outstanding standard of care and friendly, caring, and professional staff team.  All training delivered is focused around the requirements of individuals as well as the needs of each young person in our care. Before joining our support team, all care staff undergo Team Teach training which ensures they and the young people are kept as safe as possible during challenging behaviour incidents.  All staff, whether working full time, part time or bank, will undertake mandatory training in order to meet regulatory requirements. All care staff in our children’s service are qualified or working towards the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.  Whilst it is not essential, care staff in our Adult provision are also encouraged to study for the Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care.  Our highly experienced, in-house IQA, Assessors and Trainers guide and support staff through the duration of their training, and study time is rota’d on to their shift to allow them the best possible opportunity to achieve their qualification. Through the delivery of our courses PJL Training Centre provides individuals with the necessary knowledge, skills and confidence to be able to perform and develop skills to the highest standard.

All staff receive a wide range of continuous specialist training and development at our approved in-house training centre. This includes the delivery of regulated qualifications, e.g. the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and the Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care. Our training centre is subject to external quality assurance monitoring through NCFE cache who rate it excellent, commenting:

he Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is “an Ofsted requirement but staff find it extremely relevant and motivating as they can see the clear links to their own working practice.”
