PJL Healthcare Ltd recognise the need to manage the process of transition for children and young people from childhood to adulthood. This is a particularly difficult process for those with learning disabilities.
In 2007 we set up a transition unit for young people between the ages of 18 and 25.
We feel that the journey into adulthood should be person centred. The process should be based around the young person and what they want now and in the future.
Working with our own full time training manager, individual programmes can be developed for young people in transition. This will include attendance at local colleges, work experience and attainment of educational qualifications through our own registered ASDAN centre.
